Founding partners of the Canadian Landing Pad include Startup Edmonton, Edmonton Research Park, Edmonton Economic Development, TWG and TEC Edmonton.

Joanne Fedeyko, CEO of Connection Silicon Valley and founder of the Canadian Landing Pad, commented:

“Establishing the Tech Talk series is another way the Canadian Landing Pad sets out to foster a community for Canadian startups to network in Silicon Valley as well as learn. Silicon Valley is rich with Canadian talent who are excited to be able to share their advice, war stories and connections to the next generation of Canadian startups coming to the valley.”

In the Tech Talk ‘The Future of Work’, Mr Fazal will discuss the impacts of the future of work including the rise of AI and automation, and will discuss how to remove structural biases, increase access to opportunities, and how to build a future that works.  Originally from Vancouver, Rahim Fazal is a founder of several B2B software companies, including Involver, an enterprise social media platform, which was acquired by Oracle. Today, Mr Fazal is the CEO of SVAcademy, a future of work platform, which is funded by Bloomberg, and provides pre-trained entry-level sales talent to Silicon Valley's fastest growing SaaS companies.
